Great news

Based on today’s prices, your gold is estimated to be worth

£0.00

Held for 3 days — bring it in by and we’ll honour today’s rate.

What this estimate covers. It is based on the precious metal content only. Gemstones, diamonds, cubic zirconia, pearls, watch movements, leather straps and other non‑precious materials are not included in the payable weight and are removed before your final valuation. If your piece contains valuable gemstones, our team will assess those separately and discuss them with you.

How your final valuation works: we weigh your items and test the metal → any stones or non‑precious parts are removed from the payable weight → we calculate on the net precious metal weight → you get a final offer, with no obligation to sell.

    Before you come in

The questions we get asked most about selling gold.

Is the estimate what I’ll actually be paid?

It’s a guide based on today’s published per‑gram prices and the weight you enter. The final figure is based on the net precious‑metal weight once any stones, clasps and non‑precious parts are excluded, and on the carat we confirm in store. We’ll show you the working.

What if my jewellery has stones in it?

We work out the weight of the precious metal on its own, so the stones aren’t counted in the per‑gram figure. Bring the piece in and we’ll show you exactly how we separate the two.

Do I need to bring identification?

Yes. You’ll need to prove you’re over 18 — a photo‑card driving licence or passport is ideal. If you have neither, phone your local shop first and we’ll tell you what else we can accept.

What sort of gold do you buy?

Gold in any condition — broken chains, single earrings, worn rings, scrap, sovereigns, Krugerrands and coin collections. We buy silver and platinum too. It doesn’t need to be in one piece and it doesn’t need to be hallmarked.

Do I have to sell once I’ve had it valued?

No. The valuation is free and there’s no obligation either way. Plenty of people come in to find out what something is worth and take it home again.

Do you share my details with anyone else?

No. We don’t pass your details to third parties. We’re registered with the UK Data Protection Service and we only use what you give us to prepare your valuation.
